 ·         Life Saver Award- On January 13th, the Tipp City Emergency Services Department responded to a patient experiencing cardiac arrest. Due to the swift and skilled actions of our staff, the patient was successfully resuscitated and transported to the hospital. This week, the responding team was honored with a Life Saver Award presented by Upper Valley Medical Center. A special congratulations to Doug Trent, Mike Pawlak, Courtney Dean, Corey Hilgefort, Margaret Moran, and Heather Barth for receiving this award.

·         Municipal Services Inspector Position- This year, City Council approved the addition of a full-time City Inspector position, a role that has not existed since 2018. Staff is currently working through the hiring process, and we look forward to welcoming this new team member soon.

·         Park Shelter Rental- Interested in reserving a Tipp City shelter for an event? Shelters can be rented from April 1 through October 31. To make a reservation, come in to the Planning & Zoning office Monday through Thursday 7 a.m – 6 p.m. We will begin taking reservations on Monday, March 3. For questions, please call 937-667-6035.

·         Trash Collection- The City had a productive meeting this week with Republic Services, our contracted trash collection provider. Discussions focused on the need for more consistent service delivery and improved communication with City staff.

·         Police Citizens Academy – The Tipp City Police Department has launched a new initiative to enhance relationships with the community. The first annual Citizens Police Academy is now underway. This ten- week program meets one evening per week for two hours, providing participants with insights into departmental operations and the opportunity to build relationships with our officers. Applications are available at the Police Department, with a deadline to apply of March 7.

·         Serve Your Community- Tipp City is seeking dedicated residents to serve on various City Boards, including:

•      Board of Zoning Appeals

•      Cable Access Commission

•      Restoration & Architectural Board

•      Tree Board

Interested residents should complete an application and submit it to Janice Bates, Clerk of Council. Make a difference in Tipp City!

·         My Tipp City Mobile Application- I want to continue to encourage everyone to download the app to stay updated on city services and news. It’s a great way to stay up on City news and also be notified quickly during City emergencies like power outages, road closures, etc.

Thank you for your continued support and engagement with our city's progress.
