Engine 32 push-in and new Firefighter Swear-in ceremonies

Tipp City Emergency Services will be hosting a ceremony to push in their new Engine 32 into the station. This is a long-time tradition in the fire service when a new apparatus is put into service. They will also be honoring and swearing in the four new full-time firefighters being hired.

The swear-in ceremony will be conducted first. Kearsten Miller, FF/EMT-B, Austin White, FF/Paramedic, Enrique Alejandre, FF/EMT-B, and Caleb Steggemann FF/EMT-B will be ceremonially sworn-in with friends and family present.

The push-in ceremony, dating back to the early 1800s, is a tradition in the fire service.

“We are grateful for our City Council and citizen’s support. The new engine is a primary response piece that is projected to last for 20-25 years,” said Chief Cameron Haller. The new engine will be in-service and responding to emergencies after training is completed on March 13, 2025.

When: Monday, March 10, beginning at 4 p.m.

Where: Station 31, 520 W. Main St, Tipp City

Who: Department personnel, family, citizens and friends
